Wrecked Page 7

Like the very first night here, I walk into the closed garage. Again, like that night, the only one here is Asher. He’s got his back to me while he’s under the hood. In a daring move, I clear my throat to get his attention.

Turning his head, he notices me. Straightening up, he wipes his filthy hands on the rag next to him. “I don’t have time to argue with you tonight. I’ve got hours to go on fixing this blown head gasket.”

“I’m not here to argue, Asher,” I say, slowly unbuttoning the dress I have on. “I thought you said challenge accepted?” I question, letting the dress pool at my feet, standing there in nothing but my black lace panties.

“Fuck,” he hisses. His eyes run over my entire body, burning my skin. Reaching down, he slowly pulls his dirty shirt off, tossing it behind him. “I’m still pissed at you.”

“I know,” I breathe out. My pulse picks up as his steps out of his pants.

Stalking toward me, in nothing but his navy-blue boxer briefs, has my pussy wet. Just looking at the muscles in his body flex while he walks toward me, has me wanting to drop to my knees. Which is exactly what I do when he reaches me. Freeing his cock, I glance up at him while my hand slides up and down his hard dick. Circling the tip with my tongue, I take his long length into my mouth.

“Fuck,” he moans out, hands flying into my hair. Within seconds, he begins pumping his hips and I relish in the fact I’m the one driving him to that point. Yanking my hair, he suddenly pulls me off his cock. Staring down at me, his green eyes bounce between mine. “Just like the first night I ever laid eyes on you. Is that what you’re doing, baby?”

“Yes,” I admit, licking my lips.

Letting go of my hair, he grabs his dick, and pumps it as he guides it back to my mouth. “Suck me good baby, because I’m going to fuck you like I hate you when you’re done.”

Opening my mouth, he slides his cock back in. Never in my life have I wanted to make someone come faster, because his threat of fucking me, has my pussy so wet I can feel it dripping down my leg.

Hands back in my hair, Asher takes over. He fucks my mouth, while my fingers dig into his solid thighs. I’m so turned on, listening to him grunt and groan, knowing I’m the one causing it. I take him to the back of my throat each time, almost gagging, but fuck, it would be worth it.

“I’m going to come down your throat, Payton. Take it all,” he growls.

Cupping his balls, I begin to massage them. I can taste the beginning of his orgasm and I suck harder. He explodes in my mouth and I drink him down. Taking everything he gives, just like he wanted. It only turns me on more.

Pulling me off him, he lifts me up, keeping his strong grip on my arms. “So fucking good, baby.” He kisses me quickly and I love the fact he is tasting himself. He lifts me, holding onto my ass, as I wrap my legs around him. He places me down on his huge red tool box and steps back. “I need to fuck my anger out.”

Sliding my panties down my legs, he groans when he sees how wet I am. Opening the top drawer of his tool box, he pulls out a condom. I want to question why they are there waiting, but my mind can’t comprehend that when he starts to roll one down along his hard cock. Yanking me to the end of the box, he slams into me.

“Fuck,” I shout, and it echoes through the empty garage.

He wasn’t kidding when he said he was going to fuck me like he hates me. One hand is wrapped around my throat, the other digging into my ass. He’s fucking me at a punishing pace. Tools are falling to the floor, the tool box is banging against the wall, and the drawers rattling. The smell of grease and gas on him, intensifies, bringing me closer to my release.

“You’re close, I can fucking feel it. You like this don’t you? You like getting dirty in the garage. Knowing anyone could walk in and see, like you did that first night. Watching my cock slam into your tight, wet pussy. Wishing it was them who was about to scream out my name,” he grinds out.

I’m right there, his words pushing me closer. When he plays with my clit, my back arches and my entire body leaves me, when my orgasm crashes over me. I can hear myself moaning his name as he continues to pound into me.

I open my eyes just in time to lock eyes with him as he finds his release. “Fuck, Payton.”

He holds onto me as we both recover, and our breathing returns to normal. His lips find mine and we share a kiss that has a slow fire beginning to burn deep in my core. Breaking away, he pushes the hair out of my face. “I’m done hiding, Payton. If you aren’t going to tell him, I will.”

Closing my eyes, I nod. “Monday, I’ll tell him when he gets to work.”

“We’ll tell him,” he says, kissing my forehead.

  ───────────────

Unfortunately, the weekend goes too fast and before I know it I’m walking into work Monday morning. Walking into the office, I find Asher standing there.

“Morning beautiful,” he says, pulling me to him. Pressing his lips to mine, I sink into him. Loving the feeling of being in his arms, while tasting him. It’s first thing in the morning and this kiss has me ready to clock out and go back to bed.

“What the fuck?” my Dad bellows.

My stomach twists and I pull out of Asher’s embrace. “Dad,” I shout, startled.

“You son of a bitch. I’m going to fucking kill you,” my dad yells, lunging at Asher.

“Dad, stop,” I scream, pushing on his chest.

“Robert, listen,” Asher says, in a voice much calmer than how I’m feeling right now.

My dad’s head snaps up and he pins Asher in a look I’ve only seen once from him. When he found out I lost my virginity on the couch while they were home. I’ve never seen him that pissed again, until now.

“No, you listen. I told you to stay away from my daughter. Yet, you took that as you should take advantage of her,” he yells.

Stepping closer to my dad, Asher shakes his head. “Robert, I didn’t take advantage of her. We’ve been seeing each other for weeks now. I have nothing but respect for her. She’s everything I didn’t even know that I needed. I love her,” he explains, looking at me when he says the last bit.

“What?” my father and I both say.

  “I love you, Payton.”

My heart explodes in my chest, and the wind is knocked out of me. He loves me. “I love you too, Asher.”

Before he can wrap his arms around me, my dad clears his throat. “Wait a fucking minute.”

“I’m sorry Dad. Asher wanted to tell you, but I didn’t. I didn’t want to see the disappointment on your face. A look I’ve seen too many times before. Just like right now,” I say, tilting my head.

Taking a deep breath, my father lets out a loud sigh. “I’m not disappointed, Payton. I just don’t want you to get hurt.”

“Robert, the only one who’s at risk of being hurt here is me. If I’m not with her, it will destroy me. I have no intention of being the one to walk away. That’s up to her. I’ve never done you wrong, and I’ll never do her wrong. I promise you that I will love her, protect her, and make her happy,” Asher says, before I have a chance to answer.

Looking between the two of us, he shakes his head. “Is this really what you want, Payton? He makes you happy?”

“Happier than I can ever remember,” I admit.

This time Asher does wrap his arms around me and I bury my head into the safety of his warm chest.

“I need some time to wrap my head around this, but if this is what makes you happy, I won’t stand in the way. But I swear on everything I love, Asher, if you hurt her, you will be out on your ass.” He leaves, slamming the door behind him and I jump.

“It’s alright, baby. He’s only this pissed because he had to find out like this.”

“Yeah, I guess so,” I groan, before a laugh works it way out. “That’s one fucked up way of finding out.”

He chuckles and kisses the top of my head. “Yeah, that’s going to take a while to get over. But it could have been worse.” Pressing his lips to mine, h
is tongue explores my mouth and he swallows down my moans. It’s slow and sweet, like he is trying to memorize my mouth. Breaking away, he rubs his thumb on my bottom lip. “I fucking love you, Payton.”

  “I love you, Asher.”

The rest of the week goes by, without so much as a hiccup. My dad and Asher are in a good place, after he apologized and promised over and over to never hurt me. I know he won’t, but it took more convincing on my dad’s behalf. I even brought Asher with me to dinner tonight at my Dad’s. It was nice to finally spend time with my dad and step-mom, Terry.

I’m sure Terry had something to do with my dad being good with me dating Asher, because she was over the moon excited. Apparently, she’s always liked Asher and couldn’t have been happier that we were together.

The conversation flowed easily, and I have to admit it was a good time. There were no questions, no accusations, no arguing. It made me almost regret not going sooner. Though, I have to believe that the reason it worked out that way is because of Asher.

He’s become everything to me. I can breathe easier when I’m with him. So, when he pulls into the parking lot of my apartment, I know I’m going to ask him to stay the night. I’ve stayed at his place a few times, but I’ve never wanted him here. This is my safe place, but now so is he and I’d like to wake up tomorrow in his arms.

I don’t say anything, just grab his hand as he walks me to the door. Just like he does every time he drops me off. He might be controlling and bossy during sex, but damn, he’s a gentleman in every other way.

When we reach the door, I open the screen door and go to insert the key, but something catches my eye. As quickly as I see it, I read it and grab it off the door folding my hand around it. My pulse picks up, my head starts to spin and I’m certain I’m going to be sick.

“Thanks for tonight,” I rush out, pushing his chest when he tries to follow me in. “Not tonight. I’ll call you tomorrow. Thanks again.”

A quick kiss and I slam the door, locking it and sliding down onto the floor. I open my hand and stare until my vision is blurred.

  ‘Guess Who’

I know exactly who, and I know my world is about to fall out from under me. Fuck.

  Chapter Thirteen

  ───────────────

  Payton

My arms wrap around my knees, trying to hold myself together, as I sit in bed. I’ve been sick to my stomach all night. Sleep didn’t happen, not with fear swirling around me. Fear of wondering why this is happening. What could he possibly want from me?

I’ve watched the sun come up, listened to the birds start to sing, and heard the hustle of all my neighbors. Everything seems less scary in the bright light of day. The noises aren’t so loud, the quiet isn’t so terrifying. But putting my feet on the floor, seems like an impossible feat.

The blare of my cell phone, causes my stomach to drop. Taking a deep breath, I reach a shaky hand out to my phone. Asher. For a second, everything around me settles. The fear disappears, as a warm feeling surrounds me. Like he is holding me close, keeping me safe.

However, reality smacks me in the face when it begins to ring again. Returning me to this hell I’ve all, but created.

“Hello?” I answer, knowing if I don’t he’ll come rushing over.

“Hey, you alright? I haven’t heard from you since you pushed me out last night,” he asks, concern lacing his voice. It’s the last thing I want. I don’t want him worrying for me. These are my demons, my mistakes, my misfortune. He doesn’t need to own up to it, I do.

“I’m fine. Sorry. Being home last night just brought back so many memories. I just needed the night,” I lie.

“Baby, you know you could have said that instead of pushing me away. I’ve never forced more from you than you are willing to give, you know that.”

Damn, I’ve hurt him. Trying to keep him safe and I end up hurting him. This is such a fucked up situation. “I know that. I’m sorry.” Christ, I’m so sorry.

“You still meeting me over at the garage? Brett and I are going to finally get to work on your car. You can stop driving that junker your Dad is letting you use. Maybe the three of us can go get drinks after. Ending with my face buried between your legs,” he says, sounding turned on the more he talks.

I peek toward the window. It’s daylight, nothing bad happens in the light of day. “Yeah, sounds like one hell of a plan,” I say, forcing myself to be someone I’m not right now.

“Cool. I’ll meet you over there in an hour.”

We talk for a bit more before we hang up to get ready. My legs are weak when I stand up and almost buckle out beneath me. Grabbing ahold of the bed, I close my eyes. “It’s light out. You’re safe,” I say out loud, trying to convince myself.

I take a quick shower. Scrubbing a little too hard, wishing it would wash it all away. Getting dressed quickly in a pair of jeans and cream off the shoulder shirt, I pull my wet hair into a messy bun. Apply just a minimal amount of makeup, I don’t even bother looking at myself.

Putting my phone in my purse, my heart starts to pound.

I need to get out of here.

Shaking my head, I swallow the lump in the throat. I open the door and step outside. Neighbors are coming and going. It’s a flurry of activity. Closing the door, I hear someone calling my name. I’m frozen with my hand on the knob. I can’t think, I can’t move.

Faster. You need to move faster.

“Payton. Geez, couldn’t you hear me?” Alison, my neighbor asks, walking up to me.

Spinning, I plaster on my fake smile. “Sorry, I had my headphones in. What’s up?”

“I’m going out of town in a few weeks. I was hoping you’d keep an eye on my cat for me. Just dump some food for her, pet her head and make sure she has water. Do you mind?”

In a few weeks. I have no idea where I’ll be in a few weeks, but I politely smile. “Sure, no problem.”

“Great. I’ll catch up with you and show you everything when it gets closer.”

Agreeing, I leave, rushing to my car. Putting the key in to unlock it, my heart stops beating. A piece of paper is stuck on the driver's side window.

  ‘Where is it?’

Grabbing the paper, I jump into the car. My heart is pounding so hard I hear it in my ears. Fear wraps itself around me, squeezing the air out of my lungs. What does he want?

Just go. Don’t look back. Keep driving until you are safe.

Driving to the garage, I throw the car in park and get out. I beat Asher here, which is probably a good thing. This way I can get my emotions under control before he sees. Going into the office, I turn on the lights.

I glance over at the computer and this time, my knees do give out. Dropping to the ground, I close my eyes. No. No fucking way. Hearing Asher’s footsteps, I jump up and grab the note.

  ‘Asher’

The blood pumping through my body is the only thing I can hear. Everything is in slow motion. The door opening, Asher’s lips moving, the way he crosses his arms, smiling. I can’t hear him, I can’t move.

He knows where I live, where I work, what I drive. He knows about Asher. He knows about everything.

  Chapter Fourteen

  ───────────────

  Asher

She looks like she’s seen a ghost. Her face is pale, her eyes are huge and she hasn’t moved. Staring through me like I’m not even standing here. Something is going on. Since last night she hasn’t been herself. It makes me wonder if it’s the secrets she’s so unwilling to share.

I slowly approach her, likes she’s a wounded animal. My hand is out, as I walk toward her. “Payton, baby. I’m right here,” I quietly say.

Her eyes crash into mine and she takes a deep breath to fill her lungs. “Asher.”

Reaching her, I wrap my arms around her, holding her close. “It’s me. I’m right here.”

Her arms finally make their way around me and she inhales while her head rests on my chest. Holding her t
ight, I rub small circles on her back, trying to sooth her.

“Tell me what’s going on?” I whisper.

“Nothing, I’m fine. I just didn’t realize how much I missed you.”

She’s lying. I’ve seen her reaction to missing me before and it involves a lot less clothes. This is fear. Something is scaring her, I just need to know what.

“I missed you too, but why don’t you try being honest with me here,” I demand.

There is only so much I can stand. I fucking love her, but how am I supposed to help her, protect her, if she won’t tell me what’s going on. I’ve never pushed, never expected more than she was willing to give me, but it’s time I know. Keeping her happy is now my goal, and I sure as fuck can’t do that when she won’t be honest with me.

“I told you. Memories, they came creeping up on me last night. I guess I’m still thinking about them,” she admits.

  “What memories, Payton?”

She lets out a sigh and pulls back to search my face. “Memories that are better left in the past, Asher. Let them stay there, alright. I’m fine. I’m here with you, that’s all I want.”

“Why don’t you go. Brett and I will work on your car and I’ll bring it over when we are done. Go rest, because when I’m done, we are going to talk, Payton.”

I can see the uncertainty in her eyes, but I’m done letting her hide. Tonight, she will tell me what the fuck she is hiding from me.

“Okay, I guess I’ll see you later,” she says, pressing a sweet kiss to my lips, before brushing past me.

I don’t even bother going after her. She’s not going to tell me what I want to hear right now, so it’s best I let her go. When I head over there tonight though, all bets are off.

“Hey, what the hell is wrong with Payton? You guys get into a fight or something?” Brett asks, coming up behind me.

“Something like that.” I spin around and motion with my head. “Let’s get this car working.”
